FUN THINGS TO DO IN PORT
VICTORIA and NANAIMO
are both located on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.
Click on this link to see a map and some of the highlights of these two areas.
Vancouver Island

NANAIMO
Check out this website for Zip Line & the King Swing Adventures

at the Wild Play Park in Nanaimo, BC, Canada
Wild Play Park
Click on "Ziip Line" and "King Swing" for a video of these fun adventures.

Some in our group are planning on going for this private excursion.
We will hire private van transportation to and from the park at a cost
of approx $10pp each way plus the Wild Play Park Costs:

(a) Canyon Zip - two zip runs across the canyon ... $24.95pp
The Canyon Zip course starts in our forested park, and the
first leg sends you flying across our spectacular river canyon.
The second flight glides almost the entire length of the canyon,
passing beneath our world-famous bungy bridge.

We crafted this activity so that you can show up, do the
demo and have a great experience with our skilled guides
taking care of all the details – all in less than an hour! Do
it as a stand alone activity or combine it with our other
activities for the perfect day.

(b) King Swing - Single Swing ... $89.99pp / Tandem Swing $159.99 for two
Strapped into an "ultra cool" paragliding harness, designed for the intense
forces that this incredible ride generates, our bridge crew will clip you
securely into a cable that extends up and above the sandstone canyon
cliffs. The cables tighten as you are cinched up like a slingshot, pulling
you ever closer to the 150 foot abyss.

You launch in seconds and drop like a meteor entering the atmosphere!
Start your scream with a near free-fall towards the river. The thrilling
speed of up to 140 km/hr and "feel it to your core" g-force, stick with
you as you scream past the canyon walls on the rocket ride of a lifetime!

Whether you do it by yourself, or together with an adventurous friend
on a tandem ride, this is quite possibly our most breathtaking activity!

What to expect on a Sea Magic Cruise ...

Get ready for a fun vacation and dance experience!
Start planning now for a fun-filled short "Weekend Getaway" vacation of cruising & dancing with friends as the Sea Magic Dance Cruises are a Total Dance Vacation Experience. Your group cruise price includes the standard cruise amenities of onboard gourmet meals, outstanding service, a wide variety of entertainment & activities "plus" dance classes, group parties and social dancing for our group only - must be booked with our group (Sea Magic via Paradise Travel Service) to participate. (class & dance schedule to follow) The emphasis of our group is on enjoying a relaxed and fun vacation while also dancing, and being with friends!

Our Sea Magic cruise format is very "relaxed" where the days are yours to go ashore and explore the ports of call or simply remain onboard and enjoy the ship. With this short 3-day cruise itinerary classes will be presented as the ship schedule and space allows. The actual dances taught will be decided by those that are sailing on this voyage via the "Dance Survey" that is distributed prior to sailing (dances in the past have been west coast swing, night club two step, latin & ballroom). We will have special gatherings, parties, and dances for “our group only” in addition to the general pre-dinner and after-dinner dancing available in the lounges. Our actual group schedule is finalized by the ship closer to sailing. Schedule is subject to change.

Evening dining time is Traditional-2nd seating @ 8:30pm. Dining options are on a first come, first booked basis so register early to get your preference. Other dining options available are casual dining in the Palm Springs Cafe, Palm Springs Grill, and 24-hr room service.

There are many activity and entertainment choices available onboard the ship. You can dance to one of the live bands, see a variety of shows, relax in a lounge, stroll on the deck, see a movie, read a book or enjoy the many other options the ship has to offer. This cruise is not just for dancers -- so, go ahead and bring your family and friends along as there is something for everyone on a cruise!

Cabin Accommodations:
All cabins have two twin beds (most convert to queen), TV, bathroom w/shower (tub/shower in suites), hair dryer, thermostat controlled heat/air conditioning, safe, direct dial telephone w/voice mail, desk/vanity, plentiful closet space, and complimentary 24-hr room service. Ship Dock Location
Seattle, Washington
Pier 66 - Celebrity Cruises

You may board the ship after 1pm on embarkation day.
Disembarkation typically takes place between 7am-9:30am
Typically return home flights should not be booked prior to 12 noon.

Air Arrangements
You can make your own air arrangements or purchase round trip airfare along with your cruise from the Cruise Line.
1. Your Own Air
If you are making airline reservations on your own, give yourself plenty of time to get to and from the ship. There are many flights to Seattle so those on the West Coast should be fine to book flights on the same day the cruise departs. If you are travelling from a different time zone, you may want to arrive a day or so early to allow for any unexpected travel delays and travel fatigue.
Arrive and depart airport - Seattle, WA (SEA)
You should not book your return flights prior to 12 noon.

Please keep in mind most will be flying from the USA to Seattle (a US destination) which typcally requires at least a 1-hour airport check-in time prior to your departing flight.

Please don't miss the boat!

2. Cruise Line Booked Air
You can purchase round-trip airfare along with your cruise from the Cruise Line. Travel dates, times and air carrier are selected by the Cruise Line. Additional fees may be assesed for customized air reservations.

POST CRUISE OPTION - Monday in Seattle
Several people are interested in doing a post cruise tour in Seattle after disembarking the ship on Monday prior to flying home. There is a shore excursion option offered by Celebrity with an aiport drop-off at the end of the tour. If you are interested in this option, you should make your return flight reservation for after 2pm on Monday. Stay tuned for more info on this.

Travel Insurance
Travel Care covers a variety of items. This insurance can be purchased anytime from the time of your deposit until final payment. Coverage begins only upon payment and some exclusions apply. I highly recommend this option.

Cruise Vacation Protection Plan
We strongly recommend the purchase of a vacation protection program. For your convenience, the cruise line offers a Vacation Protection plan. These plans provide what is perhaps the most attractive combination of protection and flexibility available in cruising today covering a variety of items.

Vacation Protection includes Trip Cancellation and Interruption Protection, which provides up to full reimbursement for the otherwise non-refundable cancellation fees if you must cancel or curtail your trip due to eligible medical conditions or other specified causes affecting you, your immediate family members or your traveling companions.

For those passengers who have purchased CruiseVacation Protection, please refer to the Plan Description that is enclosed in your pre-cruise package for more information or contact the Vacation Protection desk at BerkelyCare the independent administrator of Vacation Protection at 877-846-8833.The insurance portion of Princess Vacation Protection is underwritten by Virginia Surety Company, Inc.

Special note: Cruise Vacation Protection must be purchased before or at time of final payment.

Tips & Gratuities: (onboard the ship)
For your convenience, Celebrity will automatically add gratuities for your restaurant and stateroom services to your onboard Seapass account on a daily basis in the following amounts, which may be adjusted at your discretion: $11.50 per person per day for guests in staterooms ($12.00 per person per day for guests in Concierge Class and AquaClass staterooms and $15.00 per person per day for guests in Suites). These service gratuities are the recommended amounts and may be adjusted at your discretion onboard at the Purser's Desk. Envelopes are also available for you to personally deliver the gratuities to dining and stateroom personnel. (subject to change)

Clothing/Dress Code Descriptions
You should dress for cruising the same way you would for a land based resort. Daywear suggestions include casual sportswear, jogging suits, pants, sweaters, windbreaker/jacket both on board and ashore. Keep in mind that the weather at sea can be unpredictable. You may want to bring a hat, jacket and sweater as well as swim suit, shorts, visor and sunglasses.

Evening - The Cruise Line dress code categories refer to the classification of attire requested for that particular evening.
The ship asks that all passengers follow the suggested attire while in the public areas. There are no formal nights on this short 3-day cruise. All evening dress will be "Smart Casual" - Women: pant suits, slacks, skirts, blouses, sweaters and dresses; Men: slacks, sport shirts/open neck shirts, dress shirt, tie, sport coat and sweaters.

Daytime - During the day there is no specified dress code, however there are some attire restrictions.
Swim suits, cut off T-shirts, halter tops, and torn jeans are not permitted in the main dining rooms.
While swim suits are appropriate attire for the pool and spa areas, coverups are requested for other areas of the ship.
